Here’s the formula:

        Put your fastest dance music on your Ipod. 

        Pull out 2 trash bags.

        Empty 2 laundry baskets or storage bins.

        Begin.

Limit your fast clean up to rooms that will be seen. Close doors to the other rooms. You’ll sweep through the rooms in layers of cleaning, revealing the clean room under the mess.

          Sweep 1: Gather all trash into a trash bag

          Sweep 2  Gather all dirty clothes, towels, dish towels into a laundry basket.

          Sweep 3:  Gather clean clothes to put in drawers or hang in the closet.

          Sweep 4:  Put small items such as dog toys and small electronics in the other laundry basket or bin and stash in your closet.

          Sweep 5:  Gather all mail and put it on your bedside table. Put any papers into a stack, any magazines into another stack, books into a third. If you stack items, they look neat.

          Sweep 6:  Put dirty dishes and pots in the sink or dishwasher.

 Now you can see the room, to know which larger items are out of place. Using a duster or cloth, do a quick dusting to obvious places, then vacuum lightly.
